CAUSATIVE FORM

(Bentuk Suruhan)

When we arrange .ask someone to do something for us ,or we cause someone to do something.we can exprees it with causative .

For example:I can’t repair my motorcycle when it breaks down because I know nothing about engine.I have to go to a repairman and ask him to do if for me .(saya  tidak bisa memperbaiki motor saya ketika rusak.Saya tidak tahu apa-apa tentang mesin .Saya harus  pergi ke mekanik dan memintanya untuk memperbaiki motornya.

That means I cause the repairman to repair my motorcycle .I xan express this situation with Causative.

I may say:

     I Have my motorcycle repaired(sayaa menyuruh motor diperbaiki)

    I Have a repairman my motorcycle(saya menyuruh mekanik memperbaiki motor saya)

Pada Kalimat I have my motorcycle repaired .kita tidak menyebutkan orang ,atau mempunyai arti pasif (kalimat pasif ).

1.      Causative form  in passive meaning (tidak  menyebutkan orang yang kita suruh )

Subjek+get/have+objek(benda)+V3

I  Have  my motorcycle  repaired

S  Have         objek     V3

            Another example :

            Mother has the rice cooked.(Ibu menyuruh nasi dimasak)

            Father gets the televisionturned of.(Ayah menyuruh TV dimatikan)

            Teacher has the homework done.(Guru Menyuruh PR dikerjakan)

Pada Kalimat I Have a repairman repair my motorcycle .kita menyebutkan orang yang kita suruh (repairman).Berikut Adalah pola kalimatnya

2.      Causative form In active meaning (menyebutkan orang yang kita suruh )

Subjek  + have/make/let + someone  + to V1+O Subjek  + get/ask/order/permit/send/want +Someone + to V1+O

I       Have/market/let    a repairmen  repair   the motorcycle

S       Have/market/let             Someone      V1                o

I      get/ask/order/permit/send/want         a repairman       to repair       a motor cyle

S     get/ask/order/permit/send/want           someone            to V1                O

Another example :

Mother has me cook the rice or mother gets me to cook the rice

Father makes my sister turn off the TV or,Father asks my sister to turn of the TV.
Teacher let the students do the homework s or theacer want the students to do the homework .
